Most of our glasses can be fitted with prescription lenses up to specified limits on the powers that can be accommodated.
Ziena or 7eye AirShield glasses?
Ziena glasses can accommodate stronger prescriptions than 7eye AirShield.
That is because 7eye glasses / sunglasses have a wraparound frame that requires curved lenses to be fitted.
This puts a low limit on the prescription powers that can be accommodated.
Some 7eye frames, such as the Panhead or Notus are too curved to fit prescription lenses into at all.
Which model of glasses to choose?
We can help you to select the most suitable model of protective glasses / sunglasses for your activities and if requested, we can suggest which ones would be best to try.
Before you place your order from us for glasses, and especially if you have a strong prescription, we strongly recommend you to get advice on whether your chosen glasses can accommodate your prescription powers.
Finding your optical reglazing company
Eyewear Accessories is the UK's distributor of 7eye AirShield and Ziena glasses. We supply 7eye AirShield and Ziena Eyewear ranges of glasses with non-prescription lenses to individuals and to opticians.
We do not offer an optical reglazing service, so if you need the glasses to be fitted with your prescription lenses, you will need to contact a company that specialises in that field.
It is up to you to select the optical reglazing company of your choice. You will find a selection of them through internet search. Some are online services and others have a workshop in major cities.
It is important to check that the company you intend to use specialises in fitting prescription lenses to wraparound frames and ideally has experience of reglazing 7eye and Ziena glasses.
Generally high street opticians such as Specsavers, Boots and Vision Express do not have access to the specialist experience and expertise to fit prescription lenses into 7eye AirShield or Ziena frames.
Two-stage process is best
We advise you to first order the frames from us without prescription lenses so that you can check that they fit well. This is essential if the glasses are to provide the relief and protection that you require.
Most of our customers order two different models so they can be sure to achieve the best possible fit and comfort.
You can find details of our ranges of glasses here:
Once you have chosen the glasses that you want to keep, you can then place an order with your preferred optical glazing company and send the glasses to them for your prescription lenses to be fitted.
Eyewear Accessories have no input to the prescription lens fitting process. Any issues or queries must be directed to the reglazing company. We are not able to refund the cost of the glasses once they have been fitted with prescription lenses.
