There are a number of different types of cancer that affect the eyes, including: eye melanoma. squamous cell carcinoma. lymphoma.
Also some chemotherapy drugs and targeted cancer drugs can make your eyes very dry and sore.
They might feel gritty, as though there is something in your eye. This is because the drugs cause a reaction on the inside of your eyelids. Or you may not be making enough tears.
If you are experiencing any of these conditions, you may find it really helpful to wear moisture chamber glasses. These a like ordinary spectacles but with the addition of a silicone eye shield that provides a comfortable seal around your eye sockets, preventing ear moisture from evaporating.
